THE APARTMENT

The 83 sqm apartment was designed and finished according to an original project by architect Ewa Lewandowska, with full respect for the building’s modernist character and its historic fabric. The layout is clear, functional, and focused on everyday comfort. It is perfectly suited both for a single occupant, a couple, or as an elegant city residence.
The living area is an open, bright space with direct access to a balcony, seamlessly connected to the kitchen, which has been conceived as the heart of the home. The sculptural kitchen cabinetry, partially suspended, reveals the original pre-war mosaic flooring, meticulously restored with attention to historical detail. A natural Patagonia quartzite countertop offers generous workspace and encourages shared cooking and social interaction.
By the window, a deepened sill has been designed as an intimate breakfast table, overlooking the green courtyard of the building. The sunny exposure combined with the apartment’s distance from busy streets ensures interiors that are both bright and exceptionally quiet.
The private zone is accessed through a hallway with bespoke built-in wardrobes.
The bedroom is a calm and intimate space, designed with comfort and functional storage in mind.
This area also includes a private bathroom, finished in a restrained, natural aesthetic, featuring a freestanding bathtub, stone countertops, custom wooden cabinetry, and subtle ambient lighting. The result is a space dedicated to relaxation and privacy.
In the entrance hall, there is additional storage space as well as a guest toilet, where the original historical mosaic flooring has also been preserved.
Throughout the apartment, the original pre-war parquet flooring has been retained and carefully restored. All custom-made built-in furniture remains in the property.

BUILDING
The Robinsons’ Tenement House is one of the most prestigious and recognizable examples of pre-war modernist architecture in Warsaw, constructed in the 1930s as a symbol of luxury and modernity of its time.
The building has retained its original proportions, architectural details, and distinctive character. Particular attention is drawn to the entrance portal — a gate clad in black basalt stone and hammered copper doors that lend the building a refined, luxurious presence. Behind the glazed doors lies an elegantly finished lobby, with floors covered in small ceramic tiles arranged in a geometric pattern and walls clad in stone panels.
A passenger elevator is available for residents, which is a significant advantage in this type of historic building. The layout around the internal courtyard provides silence, privacy, and access to greenery — a rare quality in the very center of the city.
The building is under conservation protection, and all design works within the apartment were carried out in full respect of its historical character.
